Alyssa Milano Biography

The beautiful and talented actress Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York, to Italian-American parents, Lin, a fashion designer, and Tom, a film music editor. Alyssa and her younger brother Cory grew up in Staten Island.

Acting Career
After making her acting debut in the Broadway show “Annie,” at the young age of 8 years old, Alyssa Milano went on to land her first significant role on screen as Samantha Micelli, the daughter of Tony Danza’s character in the successful sitcom “Who’s the Boss?” After the show ended in 1992, Milano tried to shake her ‘good girl’ image by appearing in a number of mature films including “Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story,” “Embrace of the Vampire,” Deadly Sins,” and “Poison Ivy II: Lily.” She appeared numerous times on the hit television series “Melrose Place,” and then landed her biggest role to date as Phoebe Halliwell on the popular series “Charmed,” which ran from 1998 until 2006.

Following the success of “Charmed,” Milano relented acting full time and went on to appear in many television commercials. She also reported for Major League Baseball, did voiceover work for “Ghostbusters: The Video Game,” and launched her own clothing line.

Personal Life
Alyssa Milano does a lot of humanitarian work, donating her time and money to various charitable organizations such as ‘UNICEF’ and ‘Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases.’ She is noted for her help in raising funds for worthwhile causes. She is a proud vegetarian and has appeared in numerous advertisement campaigns for ‘PETA.’

In 1993, Alyssa Milano was engaged to actor Scott Wolf, but the couple ultimately separated. In 1999, she married singer Cinjin Tate, but their relationship soon ended in divorce. Milano went on to date numerous celebrities and athletes including Justin Timberlake, Carl Pavano, Brad Penny, Barry Zito, and Russell Martin. When Milano met Hollywood agent David Bugliari in 2006, they became engaged after one year of dating and married on August 15, 2009, in New Jersey, at the home of members of the Bugliari family.
