Britney Spears BeginningsBritney has always been a natural entertainer singing and dancing for anyone who would watch. As a young child she sang in the church choir and often expressed her dreams of being a star to her friends and family. Her parents knew they had a special child on their hands and decided to support and nurture an obvious talent. At the tender age of eight Britney auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club. She was too young to be considered at the time however a Disney producer hooked her up with an agent in Hollywood and before long she could be seen in commercials and off-Broadway shows like Ruthless. Star Search Marty was shocked, he was sure Britney was going to win. Marty went on to star in television roles and perform at Radio City Music Hall. Losing to Marty on Star Search was certainly not the end of her career. She learned from each of her experiences both good and bad and kept working harder to get recognized. Many child and teen stars cast out of the entertainment industry suffer from alcohol and drug addictions as a result of shattered confidence and depression.
