Britney met her first boyfriend Reg in high school. Their two year relationship faded when Britney's music career blossomed. She moved to the big apple and left him behind in Louisiana.

Britney's friendship with Justin Timberlake of NSYNC started when the two became friends on the Mickey Mouse Club series. They've lived pretty much the same type of lifestyle - both child stars that have evolved into pop music idols during the last decade.

Their friendship grew into love in front of the world. Without much privacy their relationship became strained. The media had them under scrutiny all of the time. Eventually their relationship dissolved. Neither of them has ever revealed whether they just fell out of love with each other or gave up because they simply could not handle the pressure of the public.

Colin Farrell
Britney has since been seen with Colin Farrell who she has dated off and on. Colin began turning heads in Hollywood when he starred in Joel Schumacher's Tigerland, a movie dedicated to the Vietnam War. He has since been cast alongside some great actors like Bruce Willis in Hart's War and Tom Cruise in Minority Report. He is considered one of Hollywood's A-list young actors. Colin was even named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 2003.

Rumors
Britney denied rumors that she was dating Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit. She claims that she doesn't even know him that well and that any claims he had made about her were false. British Glamour Magazine asked Britney if she and Durst really had a thing for each other. She responded by saying, "I think him for me, but not me for him."

Marriage to Kevin Federline
former backup stage dancer to some of the biggest celebs such as Michael Jackson and Britney Spears, Kevin was the love of Britney's life for a time. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline married on September 18, 2004, and immedietly started a family with the birth of Sean Preston born September 14, 2005 and Jayden James in September 12, 2006. Their union was a rocky one and the couple divorced after three short years together on July 30, 2007.

Since her split with Kevin Ferderline, Britney had been reported to have had an affair with her personal assistant Shannon Funk. Britney let go of her personal assistant July 25, 2007 when she was rumored to be more trouble than she was worth.

In December 2011 Britney confirmed her engagement to former manager and long-time boyfriend Jason Trawick.
