The Biographies of Dylan & Cole Sprouse

Born on August 4th, 1992, in Arezzo, Italy, to American parents Matthew Sprouse and Melanie Wright, identical twins Dylan & Cole Sprouse were meant to experience superstardom at a very early age. When their parents moved back to the United States, only four months after their birth, the boys’ began their acting careers almost immediately.

Dylan & Cole SprouseAt just six months old, the Sprouse brothers were introduced to acting at the suggestion of their grandmother, Jonine Booth Wright. In 1993, at eight months old, the twins took turns playing the character of Patrick Kelly on ABC’s hit series, “Grace Under Fire,” a role that lasted until 1998. Following their success on television, the boys landed their first important role on the big screen in 1999 as Julian in the hit comedy, “Big Daddy,” starring celebrated comedian Adam Sandler. In the same year, the twins also earned a small role in “The Astronaut’s Wife,” starring Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron.

After being unable to acquire any significant roles for a short period of time, Dylan & Cole Sprouse bounced back in the early 2000’s when they received roles in episodes of “The Nightmare Room,” “That 70’s Show,” and “MADtv.” They also acted in other movies such as “The Master of Disguise,” and “Eight Crazy Nights,” where they were able to work with Adam Sandler once again. In 2001, Cole played the role of Ross Geller’s son Ben on the hit NBC series “Friends.”

Between 2002 and 2003, the Sprouse boys appeared in “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” and “Just for Kicks,” but their careers skyrocketed to a whole new level when they signed a deal with the Disney Channel to star in the original series “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” which debuted in 2005 and ended in 2008.

Following the success of “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” Dylan & Cole Sprouse landed roles in a variety of films throughout the mid to late 2000’s such as “The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things,” “A Modern Twain Story: The Prince and the Pauper,” “Holidaze: The Christmas That Almost Didn't Happen,” and “Kings of Appletown,” and “Sivilized.”

As of 2010, Dylan and Cole Sprouse are starring in the television series “The Suite Life on Deck.”

The Personal Lives of Dylan & Cole Sprouse
The Sprouse twins enjoy snowboarding, skateboarding, basketball, and surfing. One of Dylan’s other interests are writing and drawing comic strips. In fact, he plans to attend an art college to pursue his passion when “The Suite Life on Deck” comes to an end. Cole’s hopes are set on continuing his acting career. Although both brothers have had girlfriends in the past, their relationships have not lasted very long.
