The first album LeAnn ever recorded was on an independent label. In 1997, Curb Records re-released it and named it ‘Unchained Melody: The Early Years’. It became a two-time platinum album, reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 list, and found its place on the Top Country Albums list.

It was a busy year for LeAnn Rimes, as a second album titled ‘You Light up My Life: Inspirational Songs’ was released in 1997. Once again Rimes sky-rocketed to the top of the charts and hit a four-time platinum mark with this album. The song ‘How do I Live’ holds the record-breaking title on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 list.
