Before starring in major blockbuster movies, young Leonardo
DiCaprio had launched his acting career by making appearances on various
television shows, commercials, educational films, and B movies. Today,
he is a famous Hollywood name.

Leonardo’s real break into the business occurred when he
was cast in small roles in television shows such as “Parenthood,”
“The New Lassie,” and “Santa
Barbara,” which helped him land the role as Josh in the
horror flick, “Critters 3.” With significant
acting experience behind him, Leonardo got the role of Luke Brower on
the hit sitcom “Growing Pains,” where he
was able demonstrate his impressive talent as a young actor.

1992 saw the end of Leonardo DiCaprio’s television work
and the beginning of a remarkable career in film. His role as Tobias Wolff
in “This Boy’s Life” was so impressive

years old, Leonardo DiCaprio received his first Oscar nomination for Supporting
Actor for his work in “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,”

as Jack Dawson in “Titanic” was unquestionably
the performance that bumped him up to an A-list celebrity. In 1997, “Titanic”
was nominated for an astonishing 14 Oscars, and won 11 of them.
Following the success of “Titanic,” DiCaprio obtained a wide
selection of lead roles with fantastic supporting cast mates, including
“Man in the Iron Mask,” co-starring legendary
actors Jeremy Irons, Gabriel Byrne,
and John Malkovich, and “Gangs of New York,”
co-starring superstars Daniel Day-Lewis, Liam
Neeson, and directed by Martin Scorsese. DiCaprio
starred in many other blockbuster films.
