 Lindsay
Lohan: A Triple Treat
Wouldn’t you know it, not only
can Lindsay Lohan act, but she can also sing
and dance! Although Lindsay is best known for
her roles in multiple Hollywood blockbusters,
she has always aspired to be a singer and in
2004 her dream came true with the release of
her album ‘Speak’.
Lindsay Opens Up
As singing had always been a dream
of Lindsay’s, it was her intention that
her first album would be honest and raw. True
to word, ‘Speak’ is gritty at times,
which gives fans an inside look into the world
of Lindsay Lohan. The 11 tracks on the album
include: First, Nobody 'Til You, Symptoms of
You, Speak, Over, Something I Never Had, Anything
But Me, Disconnected, To Know Your Name, Very
Last Moment in Time, Rumors.
The album dealt with a number
of issues, the most famous one being Lindsay’s
very public feud with her father, Michael
Lohan. Lindsay also takes aim at the
Hollywood machine and its tendency to spread
lies in her song ‘Rumors’.
Twice a Charm
After
a successful first album, Lindsay was challenged
to come back with a new hit album that showed
her versatility and commitment to song! The
album ‘A Little More Personal
(2005)’ not only shows her versatility,
but also gives an even more personal glimpse
into the private life of Lindsay Lohan. In this
album, Lindsay does not try to disguise her
anger towards her father in the songs ‘Confessions
of a Broken Heart/Daughter to Father’
and again in ‘My Innocence’. Lindsay
very clearly wants to lose the Disney image
and this album is an excellent way to show the
world that Lindsay Lohan is a talented and soulful
young woman! Some of the other songs on this
album include: Black Hole, I Live for the Day,
I Want You to Want Me, A Little More Personal,
If It’s Alright, If You Were Me, Fastlane,
Edge of Seventeen, Who Loves You, and A Beautiful
Life (La Bella Vista).

For this album Lindsay teamed
up with Kara DioGuardi who
has previously written for Ashlee Simpson
and Hilary Duff, the
powerful Butch Walker, and
former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody.
Just a Little More Lindsay
If you can’t seem to get enough
of Lindsay, check out her vocal styles on the
soundtrack from ‘Confessions of
a Teenage Drama Queen’. For the
movie, Lindsay was happy to add her own personal
touch to the songs ‘Drama Queen (that
girl)’ and ‘A Day in the Life’.
